The standard Tevadaptor system consists of

Syringe Adaptor, and

The Luer Lock Adaptor is a Tevadaptor system component that converts a standard (open) female Luer Lock connection or a Luer Activated Valve to a closed Tevadaptor connection.
It is used on the patient’s IV line or other female Luer connectors, to allow safe administration of drugs with a Tevadaptor Syringe Adaptor, preventing spills and exposure.
The Luer Lock Adaptor is also used on Luer Lock IV bags. It converts the standard Luer Lock connection to a Tevadaptor connection allowing safe addinition of a drug using a syringe with a Tevadaptor Syringe Adaptor.
